Description

This sunflower head has become so large the stem is bent and the head is facing the ground beneath it. The sunflower ( helianthus annuus) is native to the Americas and provides an abundance of seeds vital to wildlife as a food source as well as snack food and sunflower oil to the human diet. Over the years, many flavors have been added the basic seed to provide variety that will satisfy most taste buds.
