About Jim McCain
My personal connection with art started as a child living on a farm along historic Route 66 and the Canadian River. My mother had art talent as well, but like me, she never had any training. Living on the farm adjacent to the Canadian gave her the chance to teach us all about nature and the wonders to be found in the woodlands and streams. I grew to appreciate and care for all living things and that ultimately led me to photography. My first camera was an old Kodak box camera using 620 film. Lois, thanks for the comments, vote and fav ! I appreciate them. As I stated above, Oklahoma is a windy state and we are getting more and more of the turbines especially in the western part of the state. People are starting to fight against them because of the numbers they are putting up. Still, as an energy source, they are cleaner. Take care....

Outstanding image ... wonderful golden light ... and seeing the two versions of windmills together is simply awesome!!! I had a deep love of the character and style of the old ones ... not so much the new ones as they are taking over my view up in Pennsylvania, lol!!! Love this!!! f/v

Perfect capture - these two windmills together. Excellent work Jim! V/F
Jim McCain replied:
Thanks so much Bob ! The original wind mill is getting pretty scarce but the new ones are very prolific in windy Oklahoma. Many people complain about them but they are clean and relatively quiet in operation. I also think they make great subject matter for camera buffs....

Oklahoma has an abundance of both of these. Kinda neat seeing them together. Thanks for everything Kathy!
