My personal connection with art started as a child living on a farm along historic Route 66 and the Canadian River. My mother had art talent as well, but like me, she never had any training. It wasn't until after her death that we discovered some drawings of hers from middle school. So I owe her for my interest in many forms of art. Living on the farm adjacent to the Canadian gave her the chance to teach us all about nature and the wonders to be found in the woodlands and streams. I grew to appreciate and care for all living things and that ultimately led me to photography. My first camera was an old Kodak box camera using 620 film. Our first family trip farther than Oklahoma City was to Montana when I was about 14 years old. I shot...

Sabine, Thanks so much for all your wonderful comments on my Antelope Canyon series. I appreciate you so much and am equally impressed by your works. Antelope Canyon is a must see for all photographers and I hope you get to make that journey. There are other equally beautiful slots there as well. Canyon X is one to check out. Rent a boat and explore Lake Powell where you can go inside the canyons that extend into the lake. A truly beautiful place that you can spend days at, if not weeks.... Thank you again ! I will comment on more of yours as I can. They are all so comment worthy....

Thanks again Bruce ! This is one of the places in the US that I tell everyone is a must see... So many beautiful scenes around every bend. The upper and lower canyons are very different as well. Sometimes the tours are a bit crowded but the Navajo guides have always been very patient with photographers, allowing plenty of time for photos. There are also professional tours for photographers... There is so much to see in this area of Arizona and Utah that you won't want to go home....
