About Jim McCain
My personal connection with art started as a child living on a farm along historic Route 66 and the Canadian River. My mother had art talent as well, but like me, she never had any training. It wasn't until after her death that we discovered some drawings of hers from middle school. So I owe her for my interest in many forms of art. Living on the farm adjacent to the Canadian gave her the chance to teach us all about nature and the wonders to be found in the woodlands and streams. I guess we are all in the same boat... Even though I am lifetime Okie, there are many places I haven't seen in our own state. My parents weren't travelers at all so I had to wait until I could afford to go on my own... But I'm making up for lost time in the past 16 years or so... I've been to Antelope 3 times now, twice through Upper Antelope and once through Lower. Like so many tourist destinations that are easy to access, it is becoming so overcrowded that a regular tour is almost a waste of time and never, never go on a holiday... :( They do have photo tours but not sure how many people go through at one time. Worth checking on for sure.... Both upper and lower canyons are two of the most beautiful places I've been... Go if you can... Thanks, Karen ! :)

Wonderful image! You know, I have never seen Antelope Canyon either. I was born and raised in Tucson, but I guess when you're a kid, you think you have better things to do than sight see. What was I thinking? I would give anything to see these places now. Thank you for sharing your beautiful photos!
